Sometimes God is in the thunder – He thunders over the waters says the Psalmist. Sometimes God is a gentle voice on the mountain but sometimes He is the thunder in the clouds that protect us from the heat of the circumstances of our life. Sometimes it takes thunder to renew our hope in the midst of the situations we find ourselves in. As life pours down on us, we can’t hear the soft whisper from the cave we have dug out, so God thunders, reminding us to keep our hope in Him, roaring at any doubt the enemy is trying to plant within us. God bellows from the storm engulfing us in order to reach us, to communicate with us, to renew a spark of hope in us, while pulling us from the ocean of despair.
Psalm 18:16 “He reached down from on high and took hold of me; He drew me out of deep waters .” I don’t know what you are facing today but I hope you allow your hope to be fed as you invite God into whatever lies before you. It is my prayer that you don’t lose faith in the “not understanding” but press forward anticipating that God has a plan and He intends on you walking in the fullness of it. So many of us stop at the “not understanding” and give up on expecting God to show up, we lose hope, we lose faith, and we drown in despair along with sorrow.
The devil will bring no meaning to our sorrow, only regret and disappointment (two things that hinder faith/hope growth), God brings meaning into every situation, God always brings significance and value- even if we can’t see it.
Psalm 30:11 You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; you have loosed my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness, 12 that my glory may sing your praise and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks to you forever!
It is my prayer that you experience the hope only faith can give, it is not a vain hope but hope that waits in expectation for God to move on your behalf.
Good Morning Ladies…. Psalm 25:3… no one who hopes in the Lord will ever be put to shame
